Venue & AccommodationWelcome to Hammamet
Hammamet is a coastal town in north-eastern Tunisia, in the Nabeul Governorate, 60 km from the capital city of Tunis. Hammamet is on the Cap Bon Peninsula, renowned for its sandy shores, blue waters, and warm Mediterranean weather. Hammamet is among the most ancient coastal resorts in Tunisia. It was settled by the Romans in prehistoric times. During the Middle Ages, a medina was built in order to protect the city from sea assault. During the 20th century, Hammamet was made famous by artists and writers such as Paul Klee, André Gide, François Mitterrand, and Winston Churchill, who have turned it into their residence.
Hammamet is one of the most popular destinations in Tunisia. It attracts tourists for: - its white sandy beaches and clear waters, - its resorts and luxury hotels, - its medina, Kasbah, and ramparts. The new Yasmine Hammamet complex, south of the ancient city, includes a marina, reconstructed medina, Carthage Land entertainment center, and hotels and conference center.
